OUR THERAPISTS

Reka O’Connell

PSYCHOLOGIST

Reka is a registered psychologist who works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, burnout, workplace stress, and life transitions, as well as longer-standing patterns such as personality vulnerability and adjustment challenges. She holds a Master of Psychological Practice and is currently completing further clinical training. She has spent much of her working life in people-focused settings across private and government sectors, bringing a depth of experience in how people think, relate, and navigate change.

She supports clients to make sense of their experiences, reconnect with what matters to them, and find a way forward that feels more manageable, meaningful, and sustainable. Her style is warm, thoughtful, and engaged, combining reflective work with practical strategies to support change in everyday life.

Reka draws on a range of evidence-based approaches in her practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapies, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
