Anya Salmin

PSYCHOLOGIST

Anya is a registered psychologist who works with people from all walks of life, across different cultural backgrounds and age groups, to support them with a range of presenting concerns, including relationship and interpersonal challenges, stress-related concerns, grief and loss, major life transitions and adjustment difficulties, as well as symptoms of anxiety and depression. Anya also provides longer-term support for clients who are looking for more consistent and stable therapy to support them with identity and personality vulnerabilities, as well as trauma- and attachment-related difficulties.

Anya provides a warm, tentative, humanistic and culturally informed approach to therapy, with a focus on clients' therapeutic goals, while also considering the broader social, relational, and environmental contexts that may influence and contribute to their presenting difficulties.

Anya draws on a range of evidence-based approaches in her practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Anya has previously worked in both private and government settings, working closely with people in 1:1 settings, as well as with the broader systems that support individuals and their families.
